Grassroots civil society organisations* in which women have decision-making roles and are responsible for the project’s implementation, and women theologians working in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia or Serbia. Applications from current EWI project grantees who are required to conclude all their contractual obligations by the end of November, will be considered.
Women theologians/students of theology can submit their project proposals exclusively through institutions, religious/monastic communities or civil society organisations within which they operate.
*Locally owned community organisations, whose members share a common vision to address localised problems using self-organisation, collective action and community mobilisation to effect change at local, national and international level.

Who can benefit from the project
EWI supports activities designed especially for women and girls (over 15 years of age), however men and boys of the same age may also be included.
Project assessment and Call results
Following an initial eligibility check, the evaluation process will be carried out on three levels. Consideration will be made to the clarity, relevance, coherence and effectiveness of each project proposal. In the case of several projects of equal quality being submitted, priority will be given to organisations with a lower annual income and a limited funder network. Results will be published at the beginning of December 2023 on the EWI website.
