The highest governing body of the Ecumenical Women's Initiative is its Assembly which has a regional, inter-religious and mixed gender profile. It comprises of activists with extensive experience in civil society, particularly in the field of peacebuilding and nonviolence. All bring a broad range of skills and knowledge to the organisation, a deep commitment to our values and passion to realise our vision.

EWI works with a pool of external experts from across the region with whom it consults on specific topics and engages in training, project screening and networking events. These experts include specialised trainers, mentors, facilitators, educators, analysists and scholars particularly from the field of feminist theology.
