This autumn brings more ways to apply for EWI's support. Under the 25th call, applications are open for two types of project support:
Regular Project Support (for civil society organisations and theologians)
Green Spark Fund Regional Initiative Grants (pilot call for civil society organisations)
In addition, the SEE BEYOND project call, under the EU's CERV programme, is also open, which you can find HERE.
We look forward to your applications, and we believe that among these options, every organisation will find the one that suits it best.
Important note: An application may be submitted for a maximum of two of the three funding options on offer: Regular Project Support, the Green Spark Fund and the SEE BEYOND project.
1. REGULAR PROJECT SUPPORT
Who can apply?
Grassroots civil society organisations in which women have decision-making roles and are responsible for the project's implementation, active in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia or Serbia.
Women theologians and students of theology, who can submit their project proposals exclusively through institutions, religious/monastic communities or civil society organisations within which they operate.

Total value of funds to be allocated
The indicative call budget is EUR 100,000.
Grant duration

2. GREEN SPARK FUND REGIONAL INITIATIVE GRANTS (GREEN SPARK FUND) — FIRST PUBLIC CALL
Akcija Zdruzenska (North Macedonia), Ecumenical Women's Initiative (Croatia) and Reconstruction Women's Fund (Serbia) jointly established the Green Spark Fund in 2026, with the aim of supporting initiatives working at the intersection of environmental protection, gender equality and peacebuilding.
Who can apply to EWI?
As this is a pilot programme, this call is intended exclusively for:
organisations that have received at least one project grant from the Ecumenical Women's Initiative and have duly fulfilled all contractual obligations,
grassroots women's organisations and other civil society organisations in which women play a key role in leadership and decision-making,
organisations registered and active in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro or Kosovo. Organisations from North Macedonia and Serbia should apply directly to the partner fund in their own country — Akcija Zdruzenska or the Reconstruction Women's Fund, respectively.
Theme
The Fund supports initiatives that connect environmental protection, gender equality and peacebuilding in creative, well-grounded ways, drawing on approaches such as learning and knowledge exchange, research, public campaigns, advocacy or networking, adapted to the local context.
Grant size
Maximum EUR 10,000 per initiative.
Total value of funds to be allocated
The indicative call budget is EUR 70,000.
Duration of the initiative
Duration: maximum 9 months.
Start of implementation: earliest 1 December 2026
End of implementation: latest 1 September 2027
Deadline for applications
1 October 2026
